MCP server

Connect an agent once.

One server for every MCP client. It only reads specs — it never writes to your project. Your agent does the editing, with your permissions.

Remote server

Recommended

Nothing to install. Always serves the current systems.

claude mcp add --transport http pigment https://pigmentui.com/mcp

Add --scope project to share it with your team through .mcp.json.

Local, through npx

For networks that block remote MCP. Runs on your machine and is started by your agent — nothing is added to your project.

claude mcp add pigment -- npx -y pigment-mcp

Every system is bundled in the package, so it keeps working offline once installed.

Installed per project

A dev dependency, so the whole team and CI run the same server. It never ships with your app.

npm install -D pigment-mcp

# .mcp.json — commit it so teammates get the same server
{ "mcpServers": { "pigment": { "command": "npx", "args": ["pigment-mcp"] } } }

No MCP at all? Every system also has a single spec URL you can hand to any agent. See the guide
